Filters

How do I view results for my filter?

Simply click on any filter listed down the left column of the screen. If you're using a smaller window size this sidebar may be collapsed. Increase your window size or simply hover over the icons on the left to get a tooltip with the name of the filter.

How do I add a new filter?

The filters listed in the left sidebar are gathered from the signed in user's favorite filters. To get a new filter in this list you'll need to click the "Create New Favorite Filter" link, create the filter you want to analyze, and then favorite that filter by clicking on the star icon to the right of the filter name. Refresh the ATA app and your new filter should show.

My filter isn't showing up. Where is it?

The filters listed in the sidebar are "Favorite Filters". They are not saved filters. Saving a new filter will not display your filter in this list. You must go to the filter you want and click the star icon to the right of the filter name. Refresh the ATA app and your new filter should show.

Time Analysis

What does the Time Analysis screen show?

The time analysis screen analyzes the selected filter and gathers all values entered for Original Estimate, Time Spent, and Time Remaining and provides totals and averages for each column. If a task has nothing logged for any time field it will be included in the results as if it were zero.

Estimate Accuracy

What does the Estimate Accuracy screen show?

The estimate accuracy screen analyzes the selected filter and calculates the number of hours spent over or under the original estimate and provides a percentage over or under that estimate.

What is the formula used for Time/Over Under?

(Time Spent + Time Remaining Estimate) - Orginal Estimate

What is the formula used for the Estimation Accuracy percentage?

If the estimate is overestimated: (((Time Spent + Time Remaining) - Original Estimate) / Original Estimate) * 100

If the estimate is underestimated: ((Original Estimate - (Time Spent + Time Remaining)) / Original Estimate) * 100

What do the background colors mean on the percentages?

We use a color step to show severity of the estimate discrepency. If the estimate accuracy is close to 0% we display green, but if the estimate is severely under or over we will show blue or red respectively.
